Lands End to John O'Groats (LEJOG) 2010
Me (Mark) and my brother (Ben) often have great ideas, but very rarely do they come to fruition. One that comes to mind is going on holiday to Mt. Everest....great one! So, I am very surprised that we are actually going to give this LEJOG lark a go. It sounded like a good idea a few years ago and a challenge that we both wanted to undertake. However, as the time approaches July we will definitely wonder what we have gotten ourselves into. After both agreeing on a date to do the ride, we thought that we should do the ride for a worthy cause. So, we have decided to do the ride for charity (see our charity page to find out more). We have both been cycling for a couple of years, completing numerous Triathlons and road races and understand that the adventure is one that is going to be a pain in the ass (literally). 1,000 + miles in 12 days is going to be tough and make a sprint triathlon seem like a jog in the park.
We have set up this website so friends and family can keep posted on the lead up to July. We will also be posting updates about our training, photos and a daily dairy during the event itself (blog section). The website can also be used to donate to our charity, read the charity page to find out more. If you would like to leave some words of encouragement you can contact us via the contact page.
Start and End Date
From July 17th - July 31st 2010 we will be traveling from Lands End to John O'Groats on our bikes.
