After Ben's visit to A&E and a follow up MRI it has come to light that he has a slight strain on ligaments in his knee.  He will be out of action for a couple of weeks, but should return to his training (if you can all it that) soon.

We have started booking our accommodation and are only missing about three places to stay. The next major task is to book our train tickets. Things are coming together (sort of).

Unfortunately, Ben has gone and hurt his leg playing football. He has a Drs. appointment today to find out more, fingers crossed.

The t-shirts that I ordered for the ride have arrived.  They look pretty good and I am pretty pleased with them. We will wear the shirts throughout our ride both on and off the bike. If you want to take a look at the shirts check out the photo page as I have posted a few pics of them.

Just got back from a two week holiday and ready to begin training again. Felt pretty good on the bike the other day and looking forward to getting in plenty of miles. We are having a little problem booking train tickets back from John O'Groats, but hopefully will get it sorted soon.

Training is going well. I am getting in a lot of hours in the saddle and with the help of the turbo trainer I am able to get a quick 30 mins in the saddle whenever I feel the need to.  Ben's training doesn't seem to be going quite so well from the look of the training log on the site.

Just updated our charity page of the website. We are raising money for a new Chemotherapy Clinic at Fleetwood Hospital. The new Chemotherapy Clinic at Fleetwood Hospital would offer residents from Fleetwood, Thornton, Cleveleys & Poulton a place to receive treatment closer to home and save patients having to travel to Blackpool Hospital and Preston Hospital to receive their treatment. We are aware that the money raised isn't going to pay for the Chemotherapy Clinic in full, but being as there are now new standards attached to Chemotherapy Clinics that must ensure that patients receive their treatment in a more informal setting (not hospital type wards) and things like a flat screen telly, audio equipment and comfortable chairs (rather than hospital beds) are going to be a must, we thought that the money we raise will help fund the 'little bits and bobs' that the new Clinic will need. And, if the money we raise helps in the slightest we will feel pretty good. Please pass your donation/pledge to Ben or Myself. Please donate as much as you can to this great cause.

It is Benny boys birthday today, he is 21. Enjoy the day and only 135 days until we begin the long trip.
